Speak your unspoken sermon
Speak the words
that ears cannot hear,
that the mouth can’t say,
that your actions can’t even
justifiably portray;
Just live, be you,
and try to live God’s way,
and He’ll be sure to
listen to what you have to say;
You have an audience around you
every single day,
watching and waiting for
your sermon of the day,
anticipating exactly what it is
you’re going to say;
Sure, you’re going to mess up
and make a few grammar mistakes,
but don’t worry,
God has spell check,
He won’t let you fall off to far astray;
He published a help book
with everything you need,
for you to read
anytime of the day;
He’s not going to force you
to say anything His way,
He’s just going to sit back and watch
what it is you want to say,
when you get home though
that’s when He truly judges
Your life sermon of the day;
Big Brother is also sitting
in the audience,
listening to what you say,
He really smiles when
you proudly and boldly
speak the things
He taught you to say;
If you cry and get nervous
He’s right there,
wanting to take the pain away,
He encourages you and says,
“It’s okay, the pain won’t last always”
There will be critics,
and those who mock you
when you pray,
but the opinion that really matters
is your Father’s anyway,
We each have a sermon
that we must say,
so boldly speak your
Sermon to the
audience of the day,
‘cus your life-Day
Sermon will give you
Eternal Glory or damnation someday.
