Bruised by the sinner’s stone. Battering waves crushed my soul, and thrust me against the rigid boulders along the cliff. I’ve nearly drowned under life’s flooding waters. Lost my bearing when the twisting whirlwinds came. Choked on the world’s golden dust. Broke my legs falling into inescapable pits. My back shattered underneath the immense load of painful memories.
I cover my face to hide the shame and tears.
But, with the everlasting Word
my sins are covered by the majestic Christ. His rich healing blood flows through my veins. The living proof I am His kingship’s heir. Loving raindrops of mercy provide nutrients for my wrecked soul. Sweet melodies of the cool gentle breeze soothes my heavy laden mind. I hold tight to His firm hand as he pulls me out of the quicksand. The pure living water forever satisfies my thirst. His perfect compass points me back towards eternity. His warm glorious light dries my tears.
My face radiates with His love for all to see.
